Is WOW For You?

To be accepted into the Ultimate Access (UA) program, you:

  • Are 18 years of age or older

  • Have been diagnosed by a qualified professional with an Intellectual Disability (or closely related other condition as outlined in the Eligibility, Service Definitions and Service Guidelines for Developmental Disabilities Servicesas defined in the current Provider Manual for Developmental Disabilities Providers*.

  • Have active Medicaid based funding or other approved resources through State of Georgia /Division of Developmental Disabilities; or an executed service agreement with WOW In Sync, Inc. specifying private or other alternative payment for services.

  • Demonstrate an interest in success.

  • Can tolerate a stimulating environment.

  • Are following your primary care provider and specialist treatment plans for any medical conditions and are able to provide documentation that you are free from communicable diseases.

  • Have an established communication method / way to express self in order for your basic needs to be met.

  • Are able to take care of your basic needs in the restroom and at mealtimes

  • Live in a stable residence (with supportive family member(s) or other responsible persons).

  • Do not need assistance in taking medications or treatments during the service hours

  • Do not have a pattern of aggression toward persons (self or others) or property.

  • Do not have a history/pattern of sexually harassing others.

  • Are free from current involvement with a criminal justice entity or organization.

  • Are free from active substance abuse, and if applicable have successfully completeda substance abuse recovery based program.

  • Successfully complete program working interview requirements.

Ultimate Access Extreme Program Entry Criteria

To be considered for Ultimate Access Extreme (UA-X):

In addition to meeting the WOW IN-SYNC PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA, the Ultimate Access Program, which is a community only based program, requires additional consideration to ensure that your desired outcomes, health needs, and safety needs are able to be met with less intensive support.  

For those applicants that have a desire greater involvement in their communities, the following requirements are considered in making appropriate internal program applications and referrals:

  • You should be medically stable so that you can attend and participate to the fullest extent, as determined by your primary care provider, support team and QIDP

  • You should be able to safely be out of doors in temperate climates and sudden weather situations

  • You should be able to safely ambulate in external environments with verbal cueing/reminders

  • You should have a positive outlook and demonstrate appropriate interaction with your team members, support persons, new community based friends and possible employers.

  • You should have a reliable method of transportation and natural supports to be able to maintain your new connections after the WOW In Sync support ends.  

*Accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for individuals with chronic (currently stable) mental health conditions/diagnosis.

Simply Biz Program Entry Criteria

In addition to meeting the WOW In-Sync Program Acceptance Criteria, to be considered for the Simply Biz program, you must meet the following parameters: 

  • Your age is between 18 and 25 years old.

  • You are motivated to work.

  • You have the capability to work independently.

  • You can maintain transportation independently/ or with natural supports.

  • You are able to complete the program successfully with time-limited training (6 months to 1 year).
